BENEVENTO SECURE IMPRESSIVE DRAW WITH ROMA

Lowly Benevento continue to punch above their weight in the Italian Serie A this season and that's mainly thanks to manager FilipoInzaghi. Benevento showed why they won't be going back to the second tier of Italian football, Serie B, at the end of this season after the goalless draw with AS Roma at the weekend. A lot of Italian football fans expected AS Roma to secure an away win but Benevento had other ideas as they battled to a point despite playing the final 33 minutes with ten men. Polish centre back KamilGilk was sent off for two yellow cards on 57 minutes but his teammates, includingMoldovan football playerArturIonita, were able to hold on for the rest of the game as AS Roma missed out on the opportunity to keep up pace with league leaders Inter Milan at the summit. AS Roma stay in third as a result of the point but they are now nine points off Inter Milan with 15 games left to play in the Italian Serie A this season. For Benevento, they are in 15th spot on the table with 25 points and they are ten points away from the last relegation spot occupied by Cagliari ahead of the final 15 league games this season. It is looking like FilipoInzaghi and his Benevento players will have another crack at the Italian Serie A next season.

Benevento midfielder ArturIonita has been a regular in the starting XI for FilipoInzaghi this season. The Moldovan football star has played 22 times for his club in the Italian football top flight this term. The Moldovan football player also has one appearance in the Coppa Italia this season. ArturIonita is a household name as far as Moldovan football is concerned. He has three goals in 54 games for Moldova.
